You'll Always Be Missed...

Yesterday evening, we tragically lost a member of the family--our fur baby---Sierra baby girl.  My goodness--this is hard.  What a time to update my blog, I know, but I must do this.  Crying over her death is not helping. 

 

To make a long story short.  She got out of my mom and dad's backyard last night.  Since I was over there, I offered to go and find her.  I found her, but in an unexpected way.  After searching and driving through the neighborhood, I got on the main road to go back to my mom and dad's house.  I planned to go back through the neighborhood again, but that's when I found her---on Highway 7.  She'd been hit.  She was lying there---helpless.  Oh my God.  I went blank.  I was shaking and crying.  I couldn't believe it.  Not Sierra. 

 

This is particularly hard on me because that's the last time (the last way) I saw her.  I can't get the sight out of my head.  In hopes of finding some closure, here's a little tribute to her and the way we choose to remember our Sierra baby girl.... 

 

 

We love and miss you Sierra.  Rest in peace baby girl.

All Dolled Up & Turning 5

Brianna turned 5 on Saturday!  Here's a couple of shots I got of her in natural light before her evening party. 

She had a Barbie "All Dolled Up" party theme this year and loved every single minute of the spotlight being on her.  I love how her Uncle Gary put it.  "You're so spoiled rotten---ya stink". LOL  She really did make out like a bandit.  Altogether, she got 12 Barbies (not counting the little girl barbies) + a ton of other stuff.  This makes more work for me, of course.  haha :)  Now I have to rearrange her room to make it all fit!  Oh boy, and here comes Christmas.  She's asking Santa for the Barbie Dream Townhouse this year.  They are way prettier than the one I had as a little girl.  I can't wait. :)  This has totally rekindled my love for all things Barbie.  Let's play!

Switch-a-Roo + Alter Ego

That's right!  The Lollipop Girls of Candy Shoppe Designs have switched design teams with the awesome DT at The Pink Ninjas for this next challenge!  

Alter Ego

Alter ego.  We've all got one.  Are you someone by day and someone else by night?  What's your split personality?  Show us your alter ego ---no matter how deranged and crazy it may be.  :)

What you have to do:

*Include some type of splattering on your creation (using paint, ink, etc.) and

*Make your title pink

This was my first time splattering paint (on anything). LOL  A paintbrush didn't work for me so I used an old toothbrush and flicked paint onto my layout.  I had splatters of pink paint in my hair, on my face and shirt, everywhere.  It got a little messy but it was fun and different!

 Journaling:  My bad!  That's just my alter ego talking again.  I wish I could do it all but I can't.  I am human and I do have limitations.  I fail miserably sometimes but I will never stop trying! :)

*Fabulous Autumn*

Hello. I love Fridays.  I love sleeping in on Saturdays (if Brianna lets me..haha).  I can't sleep in too long tomorrow though because I have a MUCH needed hair appointment with my stylist. :)  "Make me beautiful!" I always tell her.  Bless her heart, she tries. :-/

 It feels like it's been a while since I last posted.  I haven't been feeling so great.  You know how you instinctively know when something's not right with your body?  Well, it's hard to explain but I feel strange--something's not right.  I'm in the process of changing doctors and hopefully I'll know what's going on with me soon.  Maybe it's just exhaustion and stress.  I don't know.  How much can you push before your body says, "No More!".

Remember the Basic Grey "Indian Summer" I was so gung ho about?  I received it, and sadly, it sat on my desk for nearly 3 weeks before I started it.  When I did begin working on it I was excited until I noticed it was getting really thick.  I knew by the time I finished it, it would be even thicker (and barely close).  So--lost my attention on that and let it sit some more. LOL  I finally finished it (don't want to look at or even work with this line for a LONG time) and it's a pretty fat "mini" if you ask me.  Taking pictures was tough.
